SFTP/SSH Access Collapse

As a WP Covered member, you will be provided credentials for each of the websites included in your plan to access your website’s files via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) or connect and run server commands using SSH (Secure Shell), including WP-CLI (WordPress Command Line Interface). SFTP/SSH credentials will be provided to you via your website owner’s manual and your client dashboard.

Secure SSL/HTTPS by Open SSL Expand

Today, there’s virtually no reason not to provide security and peace of mind to your website’s visitors by installing an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate that allows a secure HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). This is the difference between the visitor seeing a lock icon next to your web address and seeing a “not secure” message. All websites included in your WP Covered membership will be secured via SSL/HTTPS.

Free Cloudflare CDN and Firewall Expand

We’ll set your website up on Cloudflare’s free CDN (Content Delivery Network) to speed up the delivery of your website’s content to users and conserve bandwidth from your hosting environment. We’ll also add an extra layer of security and protection for your website using custom firewall rules for your WordPress site to prevent brute force attacks to your login page and prevent access to known bad actors online.

Daily Safe Core and Plugin Updates Expand

Critical to keeping your website secure and functional is ensuring is keeping your core WordPress installation and plugins up to date. We do this for you daily, but only after backing up your site to roll back updates should there be any issues with the update.

24/7 Uptime Monitoring Expand

We keep an eye on your website to make sure that it’s online and accessible to your visitors. It’s extremely rare for a website included in a WP Covered membership plan to go offline, but in the event it happens, we’re on the job to get you back online quickly.

Daiy Offsite Backups Expand

All of your websites included in your WP Covered membership plan are backed up offsite every day. We keep backups for 90 days. If there’s ever a need to restore your website, we can do it quickly from these backups.

Fast Support Expand

We all need a little help sometimes. We provide fast support via email for all your WP Covered websites.

All issues related to the hosting environment of your sites if fully covered by your WP Covered membership.

Many other issues can be resolved quickly and may be covered by the unlimited small tasks included in your WP Covered membership. If not covered or included in your membership, support request responses may be covered by VIP hours added to your plan. If not covered or included in your membership or added VIP hours, support request responses will be billed at an hourly rate.

Unlimited Small Tasks Expand

We don’t expect WP Covered members to be experts in web design, development, and hosting. I mean, that’s why you hire us, right?

Often, we can tweak something on your website in a few minutes to solve an issue that would take you hours to research. Included in every WP Covered membership are unlimited small tasks.

We define small tasks as being one-off tasks that take less than 5 minutes to complete. If you make a request and we think it will take more than 5 minutes to complete, we’ll let you know that the task will be billed at an hourly rate or that your VIP hours added to your membership will be used and wait for your approval before completing the task.

Larger projects cannot be divided up into unlimited free small tasks. We reserve the right to determine if this benefit is being abused and bill at an hourly rate or use your VIP hours to cover the cost of tasks that are part of a larger project.

Our experience developing WordPress sites has resulted in our building a library of premium plugins that we use daily. We maintain the licenses for these plugins and can provide them to our WP Covered members. See below for more information about the plugins currently available.

VIP hours may be added to your WP Covered membership plan. These hours can be used for any services provided by McDonald Web Works at a significantly discounted hourly rate. VIP hours can be added to your WP Covered membership plan for $40 per hour per month for the first hour and $80 per hour per month for each additional hour up to 10 hours total.

Hours do not roll over from month to month.
